The village of Helford on the Lizard Peninsula has something for everyone visiting Cornwall so, when coupled with this Holiday Cottage spacious interiors, it makes a perfect getaway destination for a family or a group of friends.
Explore the area via the nearby South West Coast Path or by jumping on the ferry over the river to Helford Passage Beach. Those who are happy to go further afield by car will enjoy visits to the quaint villages such as Manaccan and Flushing – 1.5 miles away and 3 miles away respectively. The cottage’s close proximity to the water will make it a heavenly destination for those who love to get on the water.
Enter from the charming enclosed patio into the open-plan living and dining room, which features a stone fireplace with a wood burner. The room is the perfect place to relax after a long day at the beach or out walking. Entertainment comes in the form of a TV with Apple TV and a Blu-ray DVD player The bespoke kitchen is on the same floor and is just beyond the dining area. It has a breakfast bar with views overlooking the river. The property’s bunkroom is also on this floor, next to the sitting room, making a fantastic hideout for kids. Upstairs is the family-sized bathroom with shower over the bath. Two double bedrooms are here too – the master suite has a super-king-size bed and a sitting room adjoining it with its own double sofa bed. The second bedroom has a comfortable double bed. Separate to the house is a useful utility room housing the property’s freezer, washer, dryer, and a second WC.
Outside is a sheltered suntrap patio running the length of the property with garden furniture. There is an outside hot water shower on the patio, ideal for washing off sandy kids and wetsuits. The property comes with its own all-tide mooring at Potter’s pontoon, available for use by guests with their own boat for an extra charge
