Enjoying stunning views to Bamburgh Castle and convenient village access this stone holiday cottage is set in the centre of the village of Bamburgh, which is known for its imposing castle, spectacular coastline and walking trails. A museum dedicated to Grace Darling, who saved nine shipwrecked sailors and inspired the hymn Amazing Grace, is on your doorstep and a range of shops, pubs and restaurants are also less than half a mile from the cottage.

The seaside resort and fishing port of Seahouses (4 miles) offers boat trips to Farne Islands, a group of islands teeming with birds and seal colonies. To the north, the Holy Island of Lindisfarne (16 miles) is renowned for its castle and ancient priory.

The cottage has been modernised but retains original features such as old beams and exposed stone walls. The lounge features a small table with two chairs as well as a wood burner set in an impressive brick fireplace; spend cosy evenings watching TV or choose from the selection of games, books and CDs. The kitchen is equipped with all you need to self-cater and includes a Welsh dresser set next to a dining table with seating for four people. The two bedrooms are on the first floor and comprise of a king-size bedroom with fantastic views of the castle from a window seat and a twin bedroom that can be made up into a super-king-size bed on request. A modern bathroom features a shower over the bath.

The property does not have a garden but backs onto Castle Green, which features a children’s play area, tennis courts and a cricket ground.
