Less than half a mile away, you can hop aboard the Bala Lake Steam Railway, a scenic journey through the countryside leading to Wales’ largest natural lake a haven for wild swimming, paddleboarding, and fishing. Just 4 miles away, the bustling market town of Bala is surrounded by the rugged beauty of Snowdonia National Park, offering everything from gentle nature walks to thrilling mountain hikes. For adrenaline-seekers, visit the off road motorbike adventure at Mick Extance Experience at Llangynog 9 miles(pre booking required) from none riders to full experienced. The National White Water Centre (6 miles) for rafting and kayaking, or head to Coed y Brenin Forest Park (9 miles) for scenic trails, wildlife watching, and mountain biking. Back in Bala, play a round of golf, visit the leisure centre, or browse through independent shops and cosy cafes.
